Typically, a monogram is an artistic design that comprises three letters. But, there is no such rule that a monogram should comprise only three letters. This is why we often find some monogram designs that have one letter or two letters with a decorative border. The correct order of the letters of a monogram design is- the first name initial, last name initial and middle name initial, with the last name initial in a slightly larger size in the middle of the monogram.
